How University Transfer Works in BC
In British Columbia, colleges and universities share a standardized system (BCCAT) that lets your course credits move with you. Find out how this works based on the number of credits you have:
Under 24 Credits
(1 to 7 Courses)
If you transfer early, universities will look at both your high school grades and your new college marks to decide if you are admitted.
24 Credits or More (Approx. 8 Courses) for a Fresh Start!
Once you finish 24 transferable credits at CC, your high school transcript is put behind you. Universities evaluate your application 100% based on your college GPA.
48 to 60 Credits
(Approx. 16 to 20 Courses)
Complete your full first two years with us (or finish your Associate of Arts degree) and transfer directly into the 3rd year of a bachelor's degree program at your destination university.
